Guitar Chords: Bakhuda Tumhi Ho, Kismat Konnection

Atif Aslam is back with another masterpiece from the movie, Kismat Konnection. Bakhuda Tumhi Ho is a very easy song to master on the guitar. The chords are very simple and so is the strumming pattern which is very common. Atif rocks again with this song and along with the previous song, Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagi, the month of June has given us some beautiful tunes to hum, even though not many good films to talk about.
The song uses three simple chords:
(D) - 232000
(G) - 334553
(A) - 022200
The strumming pattern at the start of the song is like this:
D - | D U | DUDU - - | D -
For the rest of the song, the strumming pattern changes slightly:
D - | D U | DUDU - - | DUDU
Chorus
(D)Tumhhi ehsaso mei, (G)Tumhi jazbato mei,
(D)Tumhi lamhato mei, (G)Tumhi din raato mei.

Hi Abhinav,
Firstly, nice web site. Like the way you are managing hobbies (Music/Guitar) and technology – (this web site), business – (Adwords), and career ( first job). Good job you are doing here. Keep it up.
This song from KC (Kismat Connection) awesome. I like it too.
Want to ask you about learning Guitar.
Where should one start from to learn guitar ?
When I look at music shops here in US, ofcourse all of them are western type. Can you suggest a good book for learning Indian style of Guitar? What did your teacher begin with ? Any pointers in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Sri…
Hi Sri! Thanks for that round up! 🙂 I pursue my other passion of computers at http://www.xsrealities.com. Check it out as well!
Ya, I have been humming this song for quite a long time now!
About learning guitar, if you are a complete newbie, then you will need a trainer to get you started. Here in India, I started with indian notations of songs along with the basic concepts of guitar and music theory. There is no harm in learning western notations as well (in fact, I am thinking of treading in that direction too!). Books will take you only so far in music theory, but for learning guitar you need an expert’s help at the start. Then you can continue yourself.
I will suggest you this: If you are a complete newbie, go enroll with a good guitar teacher and learn the basics. If you have already done that then learn the internet notations (the one I use on this website) and start practicing yourself. That’s the best bet for you.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for these tabs, I’ll be trying this song out later. : D

i need is this love’s chords frm kismat konnection. plz help.
@faisal… I have given the rhythm, you can just replace the D with ‘^’ and U with ‘v’. Try to play along with the song, then you will get it.
@nisha… That song is in the key of G, maybe G, Bm, Em and D chords fit. I am not sure try it out and tell me! 🙂
what rythem shud i play on this song “is this love”?
Hey Abhinav, good that you mentioned of the key of G. So when we say the key of G, are we referring to the G scale?
@nisha : Try this rhythm.
D – D U – U D U
where each strum or rest is one-eighth of a measure.
Yup Kshitij, the key of G refers to the G scale. It also refers to the G progression which usually includes the above chords.
Are you sure the rhythm you mentioned is one-eighth or one-fourth of a measure?
Abhinav also take a look at the 2nd line of the 2nd antra ((D) … kaise ba(D)taye tumhe, (D)labz wo (D)saare, (D) jism ko jo mehkate (D)hai.) I’ve not tried playing the song yet but looks like it needs correction. The line sounds same as the first line of the antra, the chords should be the same.
Thanx Kshitij for pointing out that error. I just copied it from the first antra and forgot to edit it. Post updated!
hi, i need the chords of “aa paas aa sanam” song frm the movie ankahee. and plz tell me the rhythem also for that song.
@Abhinav : The rhythm that I had written is for four beats(which will make a measure for this song, right?). So each strum will last for one-eighth of a measure. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Also I was reading about progressions. A common progression that I came across is I-IV-V. So if we are in the key of G then this progression gives G, C, D, Am, Bm and Em as the (commonly used) chords (Correct?), which includes the chords you mentioned for the song “is this love”.
So this leads to one more question. How does one figure out what key is a song in?(Like you said that the song is in key of G)
Hi Kshitij!
If you are talking about each strum then it is one-eighth of a measure. You are right. Usually, it is counted in a pair of strums which is equivalent to a beat and thus it becomes one-fourth of a measure.
Yup knowing a progression helps in guessing the chords involved in the song but you still need to hear the song first to recognize the correct progression!
Recognizing the key requires lots of ear training and practice. It develops with time. Try to remember the sound of every scale and chord and then recognize it when you are hearing a song on TV or radio. I am also in the learning process and no expert in this. For e.g. I mistook the song Kahin To from JTYJN in the scale of A when actually it is in the scale of Bb. But I found it easier to play it in the scale of A so tuning the guitar down by half a step was the better option. Keep practicing and keep challenging yourself! 🙂

but u plz check it and can u pass me the tabs for leads its to tough for me to find and couldnt get newhere
i need ur help soon coz i need to play it in a fest
Hey Cilton, it happens due to change of seasons as the wood expands and contracts… The guitar might not be sounding right as well. You should take the guitar to a good shop or to an expert guitar teacher. He will set it alright for you.
u r site is best
Hi Abhinav,
A wonderful job on the song!
You have quite a fan following.
Add me on.
Will be in touch.
Thanks
abhinav can ya plz post the gtr(bass) tabs of the song::
pichle saat dino mein–from movie-Rock On!

anyways nice site
Hi Abhinav
Dont u think that it is important to first write the notes i.e the lead of the song and then easily
the chords follow. This will definitely end the discussions to a certain extent as to which chords
suit or fit better.
Please comment.
Thanks
The easiest way to ascertain the chords is to follow the bass. It will always point you to the accurate chord. Of course, knowing the key helps as well.
As to suitability of chords, to each their own! Choose the scale that matches your voice.
First Of all,
I wish to congratulate Abhinav Sonkar & Team on creating such a professional Weblog.
Keep It Up.
As regards this song,

Tumhi (D)ho…(G)…oo(A)oo(D)oo(A)oo(G)oo(D)oo.
ANTARA
