Guitar Chords: Pani Da Rang, Vicky Donor

I am back with a new song that beginners are gonna love! All of you who have now got a hang of Basic Open Chords, this song will be a nice addition to your list of “playable songs”. In the key of Em, this song uses open chords C and D only. Moving between these chords should also be very easy.
Pani da rang, sung by Ayushman himself, has a very nice and crisp strumming pattern. It involves couple of UP strokes at equal intervals. Here goes the strumming pattern:
| 1&2& | 3&4& | 5&6& | 7&8& | | D-DU | -UD- | -U-U | D--- |
Notice the 3rd part of the bar which has two UP strokes at same interval. Playing that correctly will get you the proper sound.
Next up is the chords:
MUKHDA

Correct Sumit… It’s already mentioned in the post. You can also add another DOWN stroke at the start before the first UP stroke.
yes u r right
You mentioned that the song has been sung by Ashutosh, please correct it to Ayushmann, thats what his name is and thereafter delete this comment of mine, Peace 🙂
Thanks buddy.. post updated!
Good job bro…….loved it….i appreciate your workk..
hats offf abhinav……
Dude why dont you post more latest songs….plzzzz
Hi Mayur,
I try to put up songs as & when possible.
many thanks..:)
What does ‘-‘ indicates between D & U strokes?
Hi Chandan,
The ‘-‘ between the strokes indicates NO STROKE. During ‘-‘, the hand continues to move but no stroke is played.
i think the strumming patteren is DD UU DD UU DUDU. It sounds good according to me…dunno whether its correct or not…and rest of the job u hv done is absolutely perfect…gud man..keep going.
The last part DUDU can be added to add extra strokes, but the original composition doesn’t have that.
Really liked ur work. Keep growing!
I really love that song. Few changes that we can do with dat song, lyk use of Am between C and D and G too!
Will have to check but I doubt G is anywhere in the song.
(Em)Kotthe utthe beh ke, (D)akhiyaan milaunde
(C)Na jaana (D)main tu kabhi (Em)chhod.
(Em)Tere utte marda, (D)pyaar tenu karda
(C)Milega (D)tujhe na koi (Em)aur.
this part there is only hitting on the chords right? as in no strumming?
and d part aftr that is the beggining intro right?
..just asking 😛
Yupp buddy . . . . Exactly that is! No strumming. Just hitting 🙂
can u share vdo tutorials pls?
Hi Abhinav,
Can u put up a small video clip of how u strum the guitar. The pattern u have given, however simple, i am not able to produce any sort of rythm out of it.A video on youtube would surely help. Thanks.
Hi Abhinav
Insted of | D-DU | -UD- | -U-U | D— | how does | D-DU | -UDU- | -UD- | sounds?

You can play that strumming pattern as well.

(Em)Maahiya na aaya mera, (D)maahiya na (Em)aaya.

Hi Deepak,
The D chord in that line is only played for | D-DU | part of the strumming pattern, rest of the pattern is played with Em chord.

Hi Abhinav, I am a big fan of your blog. You have done an amazing job here.
I am learning this song “Panni Da Rang” from your blog. But I think the in the intro while plucking the Em chord formation we need to add the D note on the 2nd string as well. I played with the original and it sounds accurate.

I got a doubt regarding Strumming Pattern of this song..
| 1&2& | 3&4& | 5&6& | 7&8& |
| D-DU | -UD- | -U-U | D-DU |
I think this sounds richer than given pattern…. Pls correct if I am wrong..

Hi dud! Great!! It’s delightful. I’m trying this chord, great yaar.. I was listening and thought to play this song and I got you.. You helped me out. But I was trying the same chord but a capo helped me to get the same tune like the original song. You can check it using capo in 1st fret.. Thanks a lot!!!
Hiii,bro,can you help me:pls
I know maj,min chords but
I can’t understant the intro or lead part which is given in any songs chords in net….
Hey boys, check this out > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHQS0RFP2nM
good job…but this pattern is not like oringinal…oringinal song required some extra strokes…
but really appreciated..
The final strumming is usually decorated with extra strokes to make it sound fuller and complete. What I have mentioned is the basic strumming required to be able to play the song. You are free to add as many extra strokes as you like.
hi abhinav will u tell me how to play the guitar
u r the best Abhinav,,,this is real talent…hats off 2 u……keep it up
Thanks man. That’s awesome.
What i studied the original pattern is D DU UDDU UD DU ..please note the little gap between last UD DU
Hey Abhinav i went through ur web page seriously its very nice u doing a superb job. thanks buddy I am playing since 4 years bt u ll happy and motivated to know many times i followed ur notations and chords for my reference. anyways my point is that i am searching for a good processor though i have GT6,Zoom G1nxt bt i m not satisfied with this and also checked gt10 &100 bt cant afford that ,so I request you to kindly give some suggestion.
Barish barkha sab kuchh… is not C D Em.. it is D C Em..
You’re doing a an outstanding job buddy, but I’m very much curious abt how you know which chord suites were? 🙂
Hi Sushant,
Mostly trial and error, sometimes ear recognizes the chords… knowledge of scales also helps once the key is identified..
Cheers!
Sir I’m a beginner and went through 50s of post and vedios but there are still some doubts but your post is very clear thanks for your help.
I know it sound stupid but I want to ask when u said to play Em should I play complete chord at once or just stroke down? Also plz suggest some songs for absolute begginer
