Guitar Chords: Kabira, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani [2013]

Kabira is long due on the blog and after getting multiple requests for this song, it had to be posted. Kabira is one of my favorite songs which I have been listening on repeat since it released back in May 2013. Not sure why I never got around to posting it sooner. I also enjoyed the highly uplifting. The song itself is fairly simple using chords D, G, A and Bm. But the beauty of the song lies in the singing by Rekha Bhardwaj and Tochi Raina. So if you can sing well or get hold of a great singer, strumming the guitar alongside would be fun. There is no one strumming pattern that will fit the whole song. The…

Guitar Chords: Tere Bin (Reprise), Dil To Baccha Hai Ji [2011]

The first month of the year 2011 comes with a beautiful song by Pritam sung by Sonu Nigam (original) and Naresh Iyer (Reprise) from the movie Dil To Baccha Hai Ji. Pritam has used his trademark arrangement pattern for Tere Bin as well but still, listening to it feels like a fresh breath of air. The movie itself is getting good reviews. The chords used in the song are fairly simple and should be easy if you are comfortable with barre chords. If you have difficulties with barre chords, check out this lesson. Check out the chords and the strumming pattern and let me know in comments below if you like it or for any suggestions. The strumming pattern of…

Guitar Chords/Tabs: Tu Jaane Na, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani

The unplugged version of Tu Jaane Na from the upcoming movie Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is done by the talented trio of Kailash Kher, Paresh and Naresh. Although the Atif Aslam version is equally good, guitar enthusiasts will enjoy the unplugged version more. It is a beautiful song with deep and long lyrics. Kailash Kher has sung it exceptionally well. The song is in the key of A major. Some of the chords used here are similar to the song Kahin To, from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na which was in the scale of A#. You will need to master barre chords to be able to play this song. Thanx to my old time friend for bringing this song…

Guitar Chords: Tune Jo Na Kaha, New York [2009]

Oh what a beautiful song it is !! The melancholic music of Tune Jo Na Kaha comes out subtly in the use of minor chords in the root notes. Mohit Chauhan has sung it very well. Though the song can be related very easily to other such sad songs, it still succeeds in bringing a refreshing appeal to the listener. The chords used in the song are simply F, C, A# and Dm. Though it can be played with open chords, I prefer to play it with barre chords. x 4 times Tune (F)jo na kaha ... main wo (A#)sunta Khamo (F)kha, bewajah ... khwaab (F)bunta raha ... x 2 times Tune (F)jo, na ka(C)ha ... main wo (A#)sunta ra(F)…

Guitar Chords: Hai Junoon, New York [2009]

This is an excellent song with very simple basic music which any beginner guitarist can play. The song uses suspended versions of D chord just like in the song Summer of 69. Nothing much to say about the guitar part. It's pretty straight-forward. Again, this song was brought to my notice by a very special friend of mine who has been instrumental in keeping me informed about new songs which are based on guitar at the right time. Thanx dear! I won't be surprised if this song becomes the new symbol of the young generation! The following strumming pattern can be used: D - | D - | U-UD | D U INTRO x2 (D)Na Na(Dsus4)nana na na(A)na Nana na…

Guitar Chords: Bakhuda Tumhi Ho, Kismat Konnection

Atif Aslam is back with another masterpiece from the movie, Kismat Konnection. Bakhuda Tumhi Ho is a very easy song to master on the guitar. The chords are very simple and so is the strumming pattern which is very common. Atif rocks again with this song and along with the previous song, Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagi, the month of June has given us some beautiful tunes to hum, even though not many good films to talk about. The song uses three simple chords: (D) - 232000 (G) - 334553 (A) - 022200 The strumming pattern at the start of the song is like this: D - | D U | DUDU - - | D - For the rest of…
