Guitar Chords: Pani Da Rang, Vicky Donor

I am back with a new song that beginners are gonna love! All of you who have now got a hang of Basic Open Chords, this song will be a nice addition to your list of "playable songs". In the key of Em, this song uses open chords C and D only. Moving between these chords should also be very easy. Pani da rang, sung by Ayushman himself, has a very nice and crisp strumming pattern. It involves couple of UP strokes at equal intervals. Here goes the strumming pattern: | 1&2& | 3&4& | 5&6& | 7&8& | | D-DU | -UD- | -U-U | D--- | Notice the 3rd part of the bar which has two UP strokes…

Guitar Chords: Senorita, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara [2011]

Senorita is a beautiful Spanish song from one of the superhit movie of this year, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. I am a bit late in posting this but I hope it is useful for all of you. First question in everybody's mind I am sure is: "What is the strumming pattern?" It may sound difficult but it is actually very easy. Here it is: | 1&2& | 3&4& | 5&6& | 7&8& | | D--U | --D- | -U-U | -UDU | The first three bars are the important ones. A DOWN stroke, an UP stroke and a DOWN stroke followed by two UP strokes. The last bar is only there to add rhythm following up to the first bar.…

Guitar Chords/Tabs: O Mama (Acoustic), 7 Khoon Maaf

Here's a small quick acoustic song from the Priyanka Chopra starrer 7 Khoon Maaf. The chords are pretty easy if you know barre chords. The song is in the key of Gm. It has virtually no strumming pattern at all. The only fast muted strumming pattern that comes in the song is as below: | 1&2& | | DUUD | The 'U' (UP) strokes should be muted. Introducing the “Suggest a Song” Feature!

I had been thinking about introducing this feature for a long time, though never actually got about doing it. But finally, here it is live for you as much as it is for me! Recently, I lost a very good friend forever (and much more)... though for the purpose of this blog, it suffices to say that I lost a good source of new songs which are perfect for the guitar. I needed help on this, so I thought why not ask it from my beloved readers? Photo Credit: Amma. Stephie Val (more…)

Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai, Guitar Acoustic Cover [VIDEO RECORDING]

One of my blog's reader, Arghya Chattopadhyay sent me this video for review. This is a very good attempt by him and his friend. The singer has a very good voice as well. But I can't comment on the singing since I am a very awful singer myself! :) The strumming is a bit fast so the rhythm might be difficult to catch, but if you listen hard you will get it. Well done! If you have recorded a video of you playing the guitar, you can mail the link over to me at xsreality and I will include it here in the blog.
